COVERAGE AREAS

Two states. One attorney.

Jeff has been licensed in both Illinois and Indiana since November 2000, so a claim does not get referred out at the state line. Below are the regions that generate most of the calls — but coverage is statewide in both states, county by county, whether or not your town has a page of its own.

No fee unless you recover. Evenings and weekends available.

REGION PAGES

Find your part of Illinois or Indiana.

Each page covers what actually decides a claim in that region: the courthouses your case would be filed in, the corridors and intersections crashes keep happening on, the statutes and notice deadlines that apply, and the hospitals whose records and liens end up in the file.

ILLINOIS

Chicago & the collar counties

The Loop, the neighborhoods, and the suburbs — plus the six Cook County Municipal Districts, CTA and Metra claims, and the six-month notice deadline that catches people out after a bus or train collision.

Cook, DuPage, Lake, Will, Kane, McHenry, Kendall, DeKalb, Grundy View Chicago →
ILLINOIS

Central Illinois

Bloomington–Normal, Springfield, Peoria, Champaign–Urbana, Decatur and Danville — the I-55, I-74, I-72 and I-57 corridors, and the rural two-lane crashes that happen a long way from a trauma center.

McLean, Sangamon, Peoria, Tazewell, Champaign, Macon, Vermilion and more View Central Illinois →
INDIANA

Indianapolis

Marion County and the donut counties — Unigov and the excluded cities, the Marion Superior civil divisions, IndyGo's center-running bus lanes, and Hamilton County's roundabouts.

Marion, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, Boone, Hancock, Morgan, Shelby View Indianapolis →
INDIANA & THE STATE LINE

Northwest Indiana

Gary, Hammond, Merrillville, Crown Point, Portage, Valparaiso and Michigan City — the Borman and Toll Road truck corridors, and the cross-border claims where Indiana law and an Illinois policy govern the same crash.

Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Jasper, Newton, Starke, Pulaski View Northwest Indiana →
INDIANA

Central Indiana

The wider region beyond Indianapolis — Lafayette, Terre Haute, Muncie, Anderson, Kokomo and Columbus, with the I-465, I-65, I-69 and I-70 corridors that connect them.

EVERYWHERE ELSE

The rest of both states

Rockford, the Quad Cities, Metro East and southern Illinois; South Bend, Fort Wayne, Evansville and the rural counties. No page of its own yet, and no difference in how the case is handled.

OFFICES

Two offices, and no requirement to visit either.

The offices exist for the clients who want to sit across a desk from their attorney. Most people never need to. Cases here run by phone, text, and email, documents are signed electronically, and Jeff travels to clients at home or in the hospital when that is the easier thing to do.

Chicago — 122 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1390

In the Loop across from Grant Park, a few minutes from the Daley Center and reachable from every CTA line and both Metra terminals. Convenient for Cook County cases and for Northwest Indiana clients, who are about forty minutes up the Skyway. (217) 833-8319

Indianapolis — 8520 Allison Pointe Blvd, Suite 220

On the northeast side just inside I-465 at 82nd Street, easy to reach from Marion County and from Hamilton, Hancock and Boone counties without going through downtown. (217) 833-8319

Meetings at either office are by arrangement — call or send the form first so Jeff knows you are coming and has your facts in front of him.

STATEWIDE

Why coverage does not stop at the region pages.

A law license is issued by a state, not by a county. Jeff is admitted in Illinois and in Indiana, which means a case can be filed in any county in either state — Winnebago, Rock Island, St. Clair, Madison, Jackson, Allen, St. Joseph, Vanderburgh, Elkhart, or anywhere else. The region pages on this site reflect where the calls come from, not where the practice ends.

What genuinely changes from county to county is procedure and jury pool: local rules, how quickly a case gets to trial, and what a jury in that county tends to do with the same facts. Those are questions to work through when the case is evaluated, and they are frequently a reason to file in one available venue rather than another.

What does not change is who handles it. There is no case manager, no paralegal hand-off, and no referral to a firm you did not choose.

Coverage is also not limited to crashes. Slip and fall and premises liability claims — store and restaurant floors, unnatural ice and snow, apartment stairwells, unlit lots and broken public sidewalks — come from the same two states on the same terms, and the case types page sets out what each kind of claim turns on.

Cases involving both states are the ordinary situation here, not the exception. When you live in one state and are injured in the other, the injury claim generally follows the law of the state where the crash happened, while your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage follows the policy and the state where it was written. A firm licensed in one state has to refer half of that away. This one does not.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Questions about coverage.

Yes. Jeff is licensed in every county in Illinois and every county in Indiana, and reviews motor vehicle injury claims from anywhere in either state. The region pages exist because those markets generate the most calls, not because coverage stops at their borders. A crash in Rockford, Quincy, Cairo, South Bend, Fort Wayne, Terre Haute or Evansville gets the same review as one on the Kennedy.

No. There are offices in Chicago and Indianapolis for clients who want to meet in person, but most cases run entirely by phone, text, and email, and documents can be signed electronically. Jeff also travels to clients at home or in the hospital when that is easier. Where you live should not determine whether you can hire the attorney you want.

That is a single case here rather than two. The injury claim is generally governed by the law of the state where the crash happened, while your own uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage is governed by the policy and the state where it was written. A firm licensed in only one of the two states has to refer half of that out. Jeff has been licensed in both Illinois and Indiana since November 2000, so nothing gets handed off and no second fee comes out of the recovery.

FREE CASE REVIEW

Tell Jeff what happened.

Wherever in Illinois or Indiana your crash happened, send the facts and they go directly to Jeff — the attorney who would work the file. You do not need to figure out which region page applies, and you do not need to live near an office.

What comes back is a straight answer: whether there is a claim worth pursuing, what the deadline on it actually is, and what the next step should be. If the answer is that you do not need a lawyer, you will hear that too.
